Signed up for cake decorating class
Ok don't laugh. I signed up for a cake decorating class. I was a little embarrassed about doing this and even tried to get some of the gals at work to go to it with me. For a guy who wont even cook, you probably can't even imagine me wanting to learn to decorate a cake. My artistic hand coordination is going to be terrible. When and if they teach me how to make a rose, mine will surely end up looking like a blob of icing verses a rose. I think the main reason I signed up for the cake decorating class is because I wanted to decorate some interesting cakes or food for Halloween (see HalloweenPartyFun.com).
So who wants to sign up for classes with me? The class is going to be held at Hobby Lobby at 173rd and Maple in Omaha, Nebraska. I will take one class at the Millard Hobby Lobby because I am going out of town from September 16th to September 20th. The class is normally $35, but they were offering it for the half price of $17.50. The supplies for the class may cost additional $25, but I wont know until I attend the first day of class. Please consult the Hobby Lobby for exact details and prices of classes. If you want to join me on the class dates, I will be attending these four classes:
September 9th, 2009 – 6pm to 8pm at 173rd & Maple Hobby Lobby
September 23rd, 2009 – 6pm to 8pm at 173rd & Maple Hobby Lobby
September 24th, 2009 – 6pm to 8pm at Millard Hobby Lobby
September 30th, 2009 – 6pm to 8pm at 173rd & Maple Hobby Lobby
If you want to get started right away with learning about cake decorating, you can order the eBook Cake Decorating For Dummies®. I don't think this book will be at my class, but it appears to be informative for those who are just starting out in cake decorating. You save by not having to pay for shipping charges on this eBook. You also don't have to wait for a book to arrive and you save a tree by getting it in a digital form that you can read on your computer. Plus you don't have to buy a book shelf for this book. Wow! What a savings!
