As of January 1st, 2010, I started to get a ton of MySpace friends.  I have to say I succeeded in doing this to a point.  I might post another blog entry on how to go about this or refer you to a book on this.  I ended up with over 500 friends in less than two weeks.  Only a couple of problems.  Not too many magicians, clowns, and other entertainers were trying to get on my friend list.  There was only one person who inquired on what type of services I do (as far as booking entertainers or getting listed on my PlanSomeFun.comwesbite).  It also was taking me awhile to figure out how to control some of the things that were happening to my page (I may of even listed my birthday wrong and tried to hide it so that it would be private).  I was getting about 5 or more emails an hour from people sending messages.  Although I learned how to change the settings so that I would not get so many emails, I then had a new problem of people leaving inappropriate comments.  I then had to delete some of those messages and change the settings to allow comments with only approval.  I also found that some of the friend's pictures were inappropriate for what I wanted to be a "family friendly" type atmosphere.  Since I was spending all this time trying to make this an appropriate page, I finally decided to cancel the account.

Now for the good news….I will be having a new website called AllenTheBalloonMan.com.  I hope to start on this website this weekend.  It should not be a blank page by the time you click on that link by this weekend.  With this new website, it will also have an option to join a blog.  This is a little different than joining as a friend on MySpace.  I will have complete control over the comments people leave and it wont be like a membership page.  People wont have profiles, so I wont have to decide on who should not show up on the website.

I would like to end on a funny note for this blog entry.  If you ever are in the need of wanting any friends, be sure to contact me.  I have about 825 friends that I think would love to be your friend too!
