Made low fat low calorie taco pizza
A while back I made a low fat low calorie taco pizza. Since it has been awhile, I will have to try hard to figure out how I went about this and what ingredients I used. I know that the following were some of the ingredients:
Kraft Fat Free Shredded Cheese
Dole Shredded Lettuce
Early California Sliced Ripe Olives
Contadina Pizza Squeeze
Pizza Parlor Crust (I think this was the name)
Baked Doritos Nacho Cheese Flavored Chips
Deli Sliced Turkey (added only a little)
I wont go into exactly how to make it since I don’t remember the exact steps. However; I first laid out the crust on a cookie tray. Lay out aluminum foil if you want to have less clean up afterwards. Squeeze the Contadina Pizza Squeeze sauce on the crust. Then add shredded cheese, olives and crumbled baked chips. It was baked in the oven for about 5 minutes. I can’t remember the exact time it took, but you do want the cheese melted some. After you take it out, you can add the lettuce. You may want to add the chips half way through baking since they might get too hard if baked the whole time.
It took me a long time to look at the back of the food packages to find out what items were low in fat and calories. My second goal was to find items that would be easy to fix, since I am horrible at cooking. Last, but not least, I wanted something that would take little time to fix. By choosing baked nacho chips verses the regular chips, I was able to knock off some fat. Be sure to shop around, because I almost missed the baked chips at most stores I was at. I am sure there is various different crusts you can use, but this particular brand was on sale at the store.
Any how…good luck on trying to reproduce my creation of a low fat low calorie taco pizza. Plus, I am looking for any suggestions on how to make this better without increasing the calories or fat content by much.
