I have volunteered to help with a huge fundraising parking lot sale.  On October 8th, 2011 at 7am, I will arrive there to help unload the sale items.  I have to say that this will be extremely early for me waking up on my day off.  It is one day out of the year and since it is for a good cause, I can manage to crawl out of bed early on this one day.

The event is called “Cleaning Out the Closets for Cancer”.   A hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Nebraska Medical Center Cancer Center.  The event will be held at the Account Recovery parking lot which is located at 3933 North 91st Street in Omaha, Nebraska.  It is also to my understanding that they will be having a bake sale where they will be selling all types of goodies.  The parking lot sale will be on October 8th, 2011 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.  So far, I have found several items to put in the garage sale.  I have been cleaning out everything except my closet.  Hard to say what I might be able to add to the parking lot sale once I look through my closet.

How can you help?

1) If you have some items that you would like to donate to the garage sale, let me know by contacting me through the Contact Me link.  I can tell the people in charge of the event that you want to donate some items.

2) Share this post to your FaceBook account if you are in the Omaha, Nebraska area.

3) Show up and have fun shopping.
